Lovely Hidden Village, Telok Melano

Hi there..have you ever heard about Telok Melano? it located far away from the city, the westest part in Sarawak which ever known as Tanjung Datu..Tanjung Datu is one of the national park in Sarawak..this place looks good but it is empty most of the time..i don't know why..for the very reason it is not crowded the services should be good..but what I heard from foreign and local visitors is the services are really bad..the staffs up there are slow and inexperience from answering the phone to serving a meal..the management seems under no pressure to perform too as it seem like they don't really need the business..they rather be left alone than having visitors..it does not look like a real business to me that needs to show a profit..if they were operating a real business they should taken care of the transpotation issues long ago...i think it is a quasi government operation that operate with tax payer's money .. or some kind of money laundering scheme by rich politician/investor..they are selling residential land up there too...i do promote our best destination with the beuty of nature, but sometimes i have to tell the truth about the promoted destination..it's such a waste because Sarawak already have the nature beauty, but the manangement didn't take the advantages in order to attract the visitors..

Ok back to my post topic, Teluk Melano is an isolated Malay village next to the Tanjung Datu national park which can only reached by boat from Sematan..the are no roads available there although people are using motorcycle over there..it is relatively small, consisting of a number of Malay style houses, some of them on stilts..when you reach there, you can see the coconut palm is everywhere..it create a lovely scenery at the beach...the beach of Teluk Melano is nice, but is of yellow sand, not white coral sand...near Teluk Melano there are a number of other small beaches..from Teluk Melano it is possible to walk to the Tanjung Datu NP (3.7km, takes approx. 1 1/2 hours)..it is the best destination for jungle tracking and mount climbing from Telok Melano to Sematan..

Here i served you the picture of Telok Melano...

Borneo Highland - the hidden paradise

For this entry, i would like promote our hidden paradise, Borneo Highland!

i don't know either this is one of favourite destination among the tourist or not due to the lack of promotion...this place should be promoted aggresively to attract the tourist to become one of the 'must visit' destination in Sarawak..I found it rather difficult to found any brochure about the paces..besides, the drive up by personal visitor can be difficult for the car's brake..no wonder even the local people's didn't even know about the beuty of the Borneo Highland..but you can take the 'safari-syle shuttle' to ride up..or the management can replaced them with more safe and joyfull ride, cable car =)))

Ok, now i'm telling about Borneo Highland...this place can serve you a dream home, spa, beautiful creature of the nature and golf as well..besides, there are more nature-based activities such as mount climbing, horse rides, nature walks etc..you can even refresh your mind from the pressure during working in town..for me, this is the best destination for you to relax and having a unique experience...but some peoples say it needs more attraction especially in term of infrastructure...goshh, i totally NOT agree!! just leave Borneo Highland's charm almost untouched...I don't want to see another Cameroon Highland and Kundasang..i want the cold, breezy and natural highlands, not the crowded and the warm one..

Here are some pics that illustrated the Borneo Highland!!! Enjoy!!

How to get there? Borneo Highland's located in Padawan..it takes approximately 1 hour from Kuching to reach the foothill..the exciting journey from the city will take you through the native Bidayuh villages of Padawan to the foothill of the Penrissen Range..from the foothill, it would be another 20 minutes drive uphill to the Resort....enjoy the beauty of the surrounding mountain views on your journey up.

Fact: Transportation can be arranged for a two-way transfer from Kuching International Airport or any hotels/ accommodations in Kuching city. Please enquire with us on your transportation arrangement during reservations.

Happy Break-Fasting Festival for all muslims out there!!!

Selamat Hari Raya!!!!! Although the raya mood is almost gone, but i think it's still happening in Kuching!! I do like to share all my joys during Raya 2010 =)

FYI, this raya is quite different from the others raya due to my single status ngeeee =P
On the night before raya, I was stayed up till] morning to bake Kek Lapis India for someone =) ..wowowowo! can I baked it by myself?? of course YES! that's my ability as a man..oppss, dun misjudge me..i'm not the lembut-lembut one okies!! but nevermind..i know that is a normal perception to those man which polah kek..

In my experience during Hari Raya 2010, the vibes of this year's celebration was not happening as the past years before...maybe there are employers in private companies didn't get any bonus or royalty for this Hari Raya celebration..some says this Hari Raya spent is out of their budget..but who cares?? as long as Hari raya celebrate in Kuching, it must be the most happening compared to the other places..we could see cheerful posters and ornaments at the shopping complex and hypermarkets and along the streets as well...at the same time, the peoples are getting anxious to do their last preparation for Hari Raya!

On the first day, as usual, we were going to Solat Sunat Aidilfitri in the morning at masjid Kpg Gita..i was excited to hear takbir raya because it raised up my spirit for Hari Raya..After completed solat raya, we went back to our home and my whole family gathered in order to ask apologize from each others if we ever hurt them or did something wrong to them..during this session, we were threw out our emotion and feel sorry to our parent..After the emotional session, it's time to celebrate Hari Raya!!! ;)))

My 1st destination was my grandma's house in Kampung Lintang..I was eager to eat ayam masak kurma and kari daging prepared by  my grandma due to the taste of her dishes, really nice though!! She was the best cooker that i ever met =) Then we went to my grandma's neighbours which also my relatives, Nek Haji Salus, Nek Haji Ara and Nek Ros. Both Nek Haji Salus and Nek Haji Ara are my grandma's cousins and Nek Ros is my grandma's sister-in-law..The whole family of my mother's siblings gathered in my grandma's house..the house were very crowded with my relatives, really havoc!!..I loike that kind of situation =)
