For those Sarawakian working or studying outside Sarawak, there must be something that make you miss Sarawak right? I don't know why..the only thing that i knew is Sarawak is a place like no others..trust me, once you go to Kuching, you'll be attracted and stunning with the cleanliness and the beauty of the city..
1. Food
Ok, back to the topic, my main reason to miss Kuching is food..Sarawak is known as a place with freaking awesome delicious foods..you can refer Sarawak Cuisine here..once you taste it, then I'm sure you will always craving to eat them for the second time..The special menu of Sarawak food are mee kolok, laksa sarawak, rojak kucey, mee belacan, bubur pedas and etc while the side dishes are including umai (ikan, sotong, obor-obor, kaki ayam), rojak suntong (sotong), ambal (bamboo clam), linut, and etc..that's why i can't maintain my weight pretty good during holiday (^o^)V
2. Beach
My second reason is the beach..there's a lot of beach in Kuching such as Pasir Pandak, Pasir Panjang, Pantai Santubong, Pantai Damai, Pantai Puteri, Pantai Sematan, Pantai Siar and etc..I was obviously go to Pantai Damai because it's a best place for me to rest my mind from pressure because the scenery is pretty awesome with Mount Santubong as a background..although the beaches in Sarawak aren't beauty as in Sabah,but it has their own uniqueness..the sea water in Sarawak was not as clear as in Sabah because of the river...Sarawak got so many many river and we can see all along the road with plenty of bridge..the water from the river is the main factor of why our sea is not cristally clear as Sabah sea..when the water from river flow into the sea, the sea water will became muddy and cloudy while in Sabah, there're just a few of river..but usually in the end of the year, our sea will became as beauty as in Sabah with cristal clear water because of musim air pasang..

3. The City
This is my third reason to miss my hometown.. it's because of the greenery of the environment and the cleanliness of the city..i don't think there are another city that preserved the greenery with beautiful landscap of big tree other that the cities in Sarawak..For example, when you're going to KL, you'll directly exposed to the sunlight, which is result in darker skin..that's why most Sarawakian either man or woman got brighter skin..some peoples say it's because og the different of the climate..but i don't think so because we in Malaysia got the same climate everyday..but if you say those peoples lived in highland, then it's possible to have brighter skin..but in this case, Kuching is just like the other state in Peninssular, panas hangat dan macam2..

4. The Peoples
The people's in Kuching is very nice though..although we got a plenty of ethnics with different cultures, but the unity makes us lives happily..Sarawak's 27 ethnic groups include the Iban, Chinese, Malay, Bidayuh, Melanau, Kayan, Kenyah, Lun Bawang, Penan, Kelabit, Kedayan, Bisaya, Berawan, Lahanan, Sekapan, Kejaman, Punan, Baketan, Ukit, Sihan, Tagal, Tabun, Saban, Lisum, Longkiput and others..with the 27 distinct indigenous ethnic groups that speak at least 45 different languages and dialects, we can be proud to boast of a people who adhere to a variety of traditions, practices and religions..The main language that been used is Bahasa Sarawak, our native language..it's very unique language and i loved to speak Sarawak! Kamek orang Sarawak bah..hahah..by the way, we also got Sarawak Cultural Village as a place to study about the others culture..

5. The Environment
The environment is a core element to attract peoples to come to Sarawak..It's also became the first impression of the peoples instead of the development and infrastructure..for me, Sarawak got very clean environment in term of the greenery and pollution..have you ever seen the clean river as Sungai Sarawak in the other places? clean road? and even systematic draining system? if i'm not mistaken, Kuching has won the award of the most clean city in Malaysia, but i can't remember when..special thanks to DBKU and MBKS because they provide sufficient dustbin in the city..It's totally different with other city in Semenanjung where it's hard to find the dustbin..no wonder the peoples simply throw the rubbish on the ground..My favourite location in Kuching is the pedestrian walkway along the waterfront..it got plenty of trees and it cool my eyes...what a lovely city, makes me calm and peace..I got one friend from Johar said that their family decided to stay in Kuching after his parent's retire..their family were fall in love with Kuching after stayed for just 2 years!! can you see that? I loved to be KUCHINGITE!!!!!!
