Hello..this time I'd like to share about beverage that always related with Sarawak..
First, I'd like to tell you about Teh-C-Peng-Special..there are many version of teh-c-peng in Kuching..maybe it is depends on the creativity of the peoples on how to decorate teh-c-peng to attract customer..what is so special about teh-c-peng?? the main reasons is about the ingredient..some peoples create at least 2 layer for a glass of teh-c-peng..the layer are including tea (light brown), evaporated milk (cream), gula apong (dark brown), and pandan layer (dark green)..gula apong is concentrated brown sugar that made from pokok apong..it's different from the brown sugar in Semenanjung..

some restaurant didn't include pandan layer in teh-c-peng..i don't know why, but maybe each restaurant got their own way in order to attract customer..Now, I'll explain about how it got it's name...Teh-C-Peng....As we know, teh is refered to tea..C is refered to a brand of evaporated milk, Carnation and Peng is refered as Hokkien dialect which means 'iced'..That's how Teh-C-Peng got its name =)

Next beverage is White Lady, a concoction made of evaporated milk, syrup, colourful jellies and a slice of lemon..while the milk and syrup are sweet, the lemon lend a tangy taste to it, balancing the overall taste of the drink..you will love it on first sip! but it's hard to get this..so far as i know, the only restaurant got White Lady is Swee Kang at Jalan Haji Taha..oppss, another one is at Lock Ann..I'm not sure either this beverage existed in other region or not..but it's taste good...Slurppppppppp!!!
